The program is designed to train and cultivate committed volunteers. Established in 1965, the Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) is a 60 credit certificate program that focuses on applied teaching methods. The IAA is noted for its individualized attention, hands-on learning and the employability of its graduates. All IAA students intern at appropriate facilities, and many are hired by the business with whichthey trained. IAA students have a better than 90 percent employment rate. IAA courses are transferable to other institutions for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree.
